Young Education Services was founded in 1991 by Lin Potter, a Bachelor of Education and qualified teacher. Lin began her teaching career in 1976 specialising in mathematics and science for primary school children.
Young Education Services provides private tuition in a wide range of subjects, to children aged from 4 to 18. We cover English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning during our sessions. We also incorporate homework in our weekly planning. It is essential that parents/guardians support the children at home and use our homework comment sheet to enable us to see how children are doing in the home environment. We also recommend that all students are fluent in their knowledge of the times tables. In addition we advise that parents support their children in their knowledge of complex vocabulary.
Tuition sessions take place on weekdays after school, and all day on Saturday.
We also have some slots available for 1:1 tuition. Please inquire by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Courses also run during school holidays.
We offer private tuition for SATS, 11+, specific learning difficulties, basic numeracy and literacy for all ages including adults, and GCSE.
We also provide tutorial support for pupils who are having difficulty with their schoolwork and can help those who have
- a learning difficulty
- been ill
- not been allocated to a school
- behavioural problems
- emotional problems
As well as increasing knowledge, our tutorials help students to gain confidence. These classes therefore benefit students of all ages and abilities and not just those falling behind.
Tuition is normally given in 1½ hour lessons and can be short– or long-term depending on each individual’s requirements. All classes adhere to the National Curriculum syllabus and are designed to reinforce what children are learning at school. Our tutors are all fully qualified teachers or graduates and DBS-checked*. We have an excellent success rate with many pupils achieving scholarships and awards.
Our aim is to provide safe and stimulating surroundings where we can reinforce the teaching and learning the student experiences at school. With a maximum class size of eight, students will benefit from the high-level of teaching support in an informal and relaxed environment. It is our philosophy that learning should be an enjoyable experience and that everyone should be able to experience success at their own level.
