"After each session my son ..... returned from his session at YES happy and excited to go back to the next session. We had excellent advice and support from the staff. The varied activities were  certainly engaging. The initial national assessment was invaluable and helped us understand ...'s levels.

The staff have a really good understanding of each child’s capabilities and encouraged my son to reach his full potential. We will be back with son number two!!" [7/2017]

“My daughter went to YES in Y5 and it really helped to lay out clear expectations and standards about what she should aim for to pass her 11+ exams in Y6.  This was extremely helpful.  The teaching was kind, patient and considerate as well as professional”.  [NS-L 3/2013]

“As my Son approached the 11+ exams, I started looking for a place he could attend to prepare for this important time.  When I visited Young Education Services, I knew that it was the right place for him!

Mrs Potter was informative and friendly and after a thorough assessment, was able to tell me areas that my son needed to improve on.  He attended YES during school holidays and was taught by attentive and motivated tutors.  I quickly saw him gain confidence which encouraged him immensely.   He found all the teaching and the revision sessions very useful and it definitely helped him with all aspects of the 11+.

My son took the Bexley and Kent 11+ exams and successfully passed both.  He is now attending Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School and is thoroughly enjoying it.  Thank you to all at YES for the excellent preparation you gave to my Son. I would certainly recommend Young Education Services to anyone whose child is preparing to sit the 11+ exam.”       [AM  2/2013]

“My Foster son ( S.....) has been attending the Young Education Service (YES) for approximately 3 years, during which time he has made great strides in his education.  I have been particularly impressed by the way in which YES have worked with my child's school in focusing on certain areas of his education when requested to do so.  I am convinced that all of the fore going has contributed to the good level of achievement in his year 6 SATS results.  I am hoping that my son will be able to continue to attend and benefit from the valuable service which YES provide”   [CR 8/2012]

“My daughters both attended YES for additional tutorial support in preparation for taking school entrance exams and SATS in year 7.  It has been an valuable and worthwhile investment, giving them plenty of practice for the "type" of questions they will face in exam papers.  Its repeated format gets them "thinking in the right way", it builds up the speed in which they answer these questions too.  It has shown them to think laterally.  Above all, the teachers have been positive and encouraging in bringing the best out of them and has improved their confidence in their own ability.

I am glad I found YES and would recommend their services.”   [CC 12/2012]

“Thanks very much for teaching E..... .  She made so much progress during the year and the results proved that.  She got accepted at all four of the private schools and in addition achieved selective status in the Bexley and Dartford grammar school tests, although did not get into one.  E..... will be going to Blackheath High as we always hoped.  So thanks again”   [PD 6/2012]

"YES is a special place where each child is valued and given the opportunity to thrive. Three of my children have attended. My last child struggled with certain areas of the curriculum. He has gone from being a below average student to one that has passed his 11+. We are eternally grateful." [12/2017]

This is to let you know that S has passed her 11+ with great success. We as a family are all delighted with this news. She has worked hard and so too have your staff. We do not know of the secondary school she will be attending but we will let you know when she is allocated a place. I tell everybody that needs to know about YES and always recommend highly your tuition, holiday classes and assessments. The assessment is kind of what sets the bar for the children and gives them a sense of where they are with the different subjects and areas they need to work harder at.  [JE 12/2014]

“My daughter C...... passed the 11+ despite being educated in the Caribbean. We only returned to live in the UK a few weeks before the 11+ exam and as she had no experience of verbal reasoning or non-verbal reasoning papers before, or indeed a UK maths syllabus, we squeezed in some lessons with YES in Greenwich. After initial tests, they identified areas she needed to work on and brought her up to speed and importantly built up her confidence. Their assistance was invaluable. A big thank you to all the staff at YES”   [LP 11/2012]

“I would like to say a big thank you to you and your team for the support that you have given T… during the last few years.  T…continues to enjoy education and remembers all the things he has been taught at YES.  He was successful in gaining admission to his first choice and he is really looking forward to starting Secondary School in September.  The support, coaching and dedication by you and your team is second to none!  I have also recommended YES to other parents with children in year 5, preparing for their 11+.”   [AC 5/2013]

“When we first came to YES in the Spring of 07 our son, G....... was unable to read, disliked writing and could not spell.  Now G....... reads enthusiastically, loves to write and type and he is spelling phonetically.  Thank you Diane, Norman and the YES team for rebuilding his confidence and his love of learning!!”  [AC 1/2013]

“Several years ago, friends highly recommended YES to us.  We found the staff to be friendly, well informed, professional and adept at preparing all four of our children for the 11+ secondary transfer exams.  All four of them, including one who is dyslexic, successfully secured places in sought after grammar schools; (they also passed private schools' exams.)

YES assesses the needs of each child and systematically prepares them to confidently sit these exams and to perform to the best of their ability.  Through YES, our children had been exposed to a wide range of Verbal and Non-verbal questions, Maths and English papers, Reading Comprehensions, and Story Writing.  There were also regular opportunities to sit old 11+ papers in exam conditions and subsequent meetings for parents to discuss the results with the tutors .

The YES tutors are very experienced in coaching young people and setting appropriate homework.  They took the pressure off us as parents.

I could say lots more, but I'll pause here with a big THANK YOU“    [GB 11/2012]

“I would like to add...We found the staff (even / especially the receptionist Julie) to be friendly, well informed, professional and adept at preparing all four of our children for the 11+ secondary transfer exams.  You know what they say about first impressions...”  [AB 11/2012]

“I enclose a card of thanks from A....... .  We had an offer from Sydenham School this week...    It is ... likely that we will accept the place offered by Blackheath High.

Thank you very much for your help at somewhat short notice in getting her through the entrance exam.  We were both surprised to be invited for a scholarship interview.  I wasn’t surprised that she wasn’t offered one but it has helped her self-esteem.”   [CG 3/2013]
